Product Overview
Pyrotech’s NG & LAVT Panels are engineered to provide safe grounding of electrical systems, particularly in generator applications. These panels house components such as Neutral Grounding Transformer (NGT) and Neutral Grounding Resistor (NGR), which play a critical role in system protection. The Neutral Grounding Transformer steps down the neutral voltage of the generator to lower levels (typically 110V or 220V), which is then passed through a Neutral Grounding Resistor. This process helps bring the neutral voltage close to zero and ensures safe grounding of the system. Neutral Grounding Resistors are used to limit fault current to safe levels, preventing damage to equipment while allowing protective relays to detect and isolate faults effectively. These systems are essential in maintaining system stability, protecting generator windings, and ensuring safe operation during unbalanced load or fault conditions.
